KINYARWANDA for absolute beginners is for anyone going to Rwanda wanting to speak in the country's native language.

Topics cover essential knowledge and skills required to speak with a degree of fluency. Vocabulary is introduced gradually and within the context of the text. Important grammar such as noun classes, verb tenses (past, present and future) and sentence structure are accompanied with example phrases that can be put to daily use in Rwanda.

The intention of the writer is to bring the student quickly to the point of making up his or her own sentences. There are many useful phrases throughout the book, but this is not a phrase book.
